Storm Chase May 2017 - Bonus Chase Day

Most of the folks on tour 1 of this year's Netweather Chase departed our first overnight stay near DFW airport for a bonus chase day before the first scheduled chase day tomorrow. However, Oliver Ewers and I have taken one for the team and have decided to stay at the hotel to wait for the final guest to arrive on his flight this afternoon while the rest of the guests go in the 2 cars to western Texas as a target to chase the Enhanced Risk (with 10% tornado risk) that will develop there and over eastern New Mexico in the afternoon.

So I will drive with Oli over to the airport to pick up the last guest who lands between 3-4pm, then drive up highway 287 to Childress, which is a bout 3 1/2 hour drive, to wait for the rest of the team to come over from their day's chasing further west. So good luck for those on the bonus chase today, I will post some picks from them later.

Here's the beast I will be driving, GMC Yukon, FBI style
